Have Questions? We’ve Got You Covered.

Whether you're new to medical cannabis or already certified, here are clear answers to the most common questions we hear from patients.

🩺 Certification Process

Question 1: How do I get certified for medical marijuana in Florida?

You’ll meet with a certified physician like Dr. Farooq for an in-person evaluation. If approved, your information is entered into the state’s MMUR system, and you’ll apply for your state ID card.

Question 2: How long does the certification process take?

Most patients complete their in-person visit and state application in the same week. ID cards usually arrive within 10–14 business days.

Question 3: Is smokeable flower included in my recommendation?

Yes, if the doctor determines it's appropriate, smokeable flower will be included at no extra cost.

💵 Costs & Renewals

Question 1: What does it cost to get certified?

The first visit is $275. Follow-up telehealth renewals are $50. Recertification after 210 days is $150.

Question 2: Do I need to renew my certification?

Yes. Florida law requires a renewal (new orders) every 70 days, and a full recertification visit every 210 days.

Question 3: How much is the Florida MMUR card?

The card costs $75, paid separately to the Florida Department of Health. It must be renewed annually.

Question 4: Do you accept insurance?

No. Medical marijuana evaluations and renewals are self-pay only. We accept credit, debit, and most HSA/FSA cards.

📦 Dispensary & Legal Use

Question 1: Can I buy cannabis from any dispensary once I’m certified?

Yes. Once your state ID card is approved, you can shop at any licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) in Florida.

Question 2: Do I need to bring anything to the dispensary?

Yes — your MMUR card and a valid photo ID. The dispensary will verify your doctor’s orders in the state registry.

🧠 EXOMIND Therapy

Question 1: What is EXOMIND?

EXOMIND is a non-invasive neuromodulation system, similar to TMS, used to help patients improve mental clarity, reduce stress, and manage emotional health.

Question 2: Is EXOMIND safe to use with MMJ?

Yes. EXOMIND is designed to complement cannabis-based care and may enhance its effects for focus, mood, and emotional regulation.

Question 3: How long is each EXOMIND session?

Sessions typically last 15–20 minutes and require no prep or downtime.

📅 Appointments & Follow-Ups

Question 1: Do I need to come back in person for renewals?

No. Your first visit must be in-person, but 70-day renewals can be done via secure telehealth.

Question 2: Will I get reminders when it’s time to renew?

Yes. We’ll send email and/or text reminders before each renewal deadline so you never fall out of compliance.

Question 3: Can I be referred by another physician?

Yes — we accept referrals from other providers. Just bring or upload your referral when booking.
